Congratulations! | New Product Review and Tutorial | Blog Contest Winner
CATEGORIES: Living In Layers | RC | May 02, 2008
Let's start off Friday on a bit of a congratulatory note! We got a press release in the office yesterday, letting us know that Scott Kelby's Digital Photography Book made history as the best selling Digital Photography Book ever!! The press release is talking about incredible amounts of books sold (like a quarter million), and I for one could not be happier for Scott. Watching him work on a book is really a matter of art, and to be able to connect with as many people as he does is an amazing feat.
His blog post also pointed out that his Digital Photography Book Volume 2 book is selling at twice the clip of his Vol 1 book, which is even a cooler feat. The Vol 1 book is probably my all time fav book from Scott because of the sheer amount of tips, but the Vol 2 book is a special one for me, having been able to play a small part in it.
From the staff over on the Layers side of the house. Congratulations! You couldn't deserve the honor more!

Blog Contest Winner
Congratulations to Joanne Berry for winning this week's blog contest. Fay Sirkus uses a combination of Photoshop and Corel painter to make absolute masterpieces of art. Joanne is getting a copy of Fay's killer DVD "A Celebration of Art: Paint Like a Master" as well as a year's subscription to Layers Magazine.
Now, if you want to catch more of Fay, she is actually on tour! This Monday she will be in Columbus, OH, and will be traveling to a city near you. For more information, visit her website, or check out Kelby Training for the most recent tour dates.
That's it for me everyone. I'll be blogging next week from New York City! Back home for a little while and having some tex mex at my brothers restaurant in Greenlawn. Too excited about it! Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
