Apple TV Rocks | Design Makeover | Contest Time

Happy Monday everyone! I have to tell you, I love Apple TV. I didn’t think that I would really enjoy it as much as I do - but I have to admit, it’s great. There were a ton of podcasts that I wanted to sit and catch up on, and I had been contemplating getting one so that I could just watch them on the TV. Now that I have Apple TV setup, I have to say.. it’s really good to be able to see a podcast on a large TV. Layers TV comes in nicely and the screen is big enough to be able to see specific details on it. Add to that the fact that I can share the content from my other machines, as well as check out movies and TV shows, and I became an automatic fan. I encourage you to use yours for podcast learning if you have one. Great educational investment.

New Design Makeover
This week we have a new Design Makeover tutorial posted. It shows a couple of designers working on a redesign of a website and what their motivations are for going in a specific direction with it. Again, always nice to see how someone else would tackle a project.

Contest Time
This week’s contest will have you winning a copy of Joe McNally’s celebrated book The Moment it Clicks as well as Matt Kloskowski’s DVD Automating Photoshop CS3 for Photographers. To enter the contest, go to the Contact page, fill out your name, email address, and answer to the following contest question:

What is the name of the company that is getting the design makeover this week?

Contest will be open until Thursday 5PM, and the winner will be announced Friday morning. That’s it for this Monday everyone. Have a wonderful start of the week and we will see you here tomorrow morning!

RC, you guys do look goodl on AppleTV. I’m seeing more subscription/tutorial distribution via iTunes/AppleTV (Ripple Training recently launched an iTunes version of their Soundtrack Pro training - I just got it - outstanding!) Instruction easier to follow when you can SEE the interface in hi-res.
