Apply a Master to Just Half of a Spread
One of the advantages of Facing Pages is that you can design your Master Pages in Spreads. But what if you want to apply a Master to just one page in a particular spread? Most users don’t know that even though you’re in a document that uses Facing Pages, you can create a one page Master. Under the Options flyout menu of the Pages palette, choose New Master. In the dialog that opens, type in “1″ in the Number of Pages section and click OK. After designing your new one page Master, click-and-drag it into the Pages palette and over the top of the page to which you’d like to apply it. When the page gets highlighted in black, release your mouse to apply.
