Hi,

A REALLY useful article.

Do you think Frutiger could also be included as a suitable squint-free font?

Thanks again.

Great article. I've linked to it from http://typegeek.blogspot.com with a visual comparison of small versions of Verdana and Minion.

Interesting content, but admittedly, the article is not following the guidelines it preaches.

Refreshing nonetheless, thanks for that.

If you don’t want your small type to look like it’s hiding something, if you really want it to be read, it takes some extra effort, because all type programs default to settings for creating full-sized text.
I agree that this is one of the best articles I've ever read on using fonts. I'd consider myself a relative novice in typography, and I rarely do anything for print. (I'm a developer more than a designer. Found this article via Twitter.) I learned a lot from this article, and it made absolute sense. Thanks!

Great article. Very concise and complete. Reminds me of the article doing an analysis of all the fonts in Montreal's subway system. Very cool, go check it out.

Very nice write-up. Great tone and tons of information.

However, I was hoping for easier, quicker to consume information that's visual. You list out 6 fonts, but make me cross reference the font with your comma delimited list above it. Why just put the font name in each example so I instantly know the font?

Furthermore.. I'd like to *see* examples of small fonts, and how tracking makes a difference. Pick a font or two, and show me a few variations of it to really prove your point.

Given the subject matter, you have the perfect opportunity to demonstrate exactly what you're preaching.

Still, nice post.
