Color Theory for the Web | The CG Society Rocks | Photoshop & Illustrator with Deke
While playing around on the internet, I found a very cool article on color theory for graphic and web design. (for more information on this, be sure to click on the article here). I think that the appropriate choice of color for a website is just as important as the content that you put on the page. To this day, I’ll admit that color choices have always been one of my lesser qualities (I always try to dress in black and -something- ) . Had it not been for things like Kuler, who knows what my projects would look like? So, make sure you spend some time there.
Deke McClelland has a great tutorial and a couple of articles from the CG Society, after the jump.
The CG Society
On one of our show pages on the Golden Spiral, one of our viewers posted a link to a tool for OSX that lets you show a transparent Golden spiral. I thought it was interesting enough and checked it out, only to be completely enthralled by the amount of articles on the site. It’s got everything from a really cool interview with someone on the Animation of Ratatouille to a walkthrough on how the illustration in Call of Duty 4 is created (I am a HUGE fan of that game), the site has got a wealth of information and inspiration. For more information, be sure to visit the CG Society website.
