Cool Items Showing Up at CES Today
As I look into the distance with a great lens, I can see clearly out west over to the CES – and I have to tell you, those guys over there are showing off some really cool gadgets this year. One of the biggest things that’s out there (I think) are the SSD Drives that are coming out.
Check out Sandisk & Ritek. They are jumping in on the game with 128GB of SSD goodness, and Samsung rocks a 128GB SSD. From battery consumption, to power, heat, speed, and performance (think of an SSD-powered drive running Photoshop), I think SSD is really going to usher in a new era of cool laptops for mobile computing. Stay tuned.
For those using the Canon 1DS- Mark III – your storage solutions are soon to be solved. Seems like Pretec is going to be putting out some CompactFlash cards that are going to be the new size masters, from 16GB to 48GB. This is pretty intense.. more at this link.
