Creating a Background in Photoshop, Part 2

Continuing with part 2 of this tutorial, expand the canvas of the newly-created background image to create room for some border effects. Then isolate a silhouette using the channels palette and bring that into the image. Finally, add some text to finish the design off.

GREAT....GREAT! Thanks for the info. I watched both part 1 and part 2. I learned about the blending mode and applying all the layers into one layer.

Really getting into this but unfortunately halfway through the tutorial the player resorts to the advert for the mag so have not seen how to finish it.
