Creating an Eclipse in After Effects, Part 1
In the first part of this two-part project tutorial, J. Schuh demonstrates how he creates a bright sun and then blocks it out in part 2.

Hey Jay – thanks that is very very cool. But I’ve got a question. When I’m scrubbing the playhead to view the comp my circle turns into a square! Is there a setting I can change?

deb i have the same problem, when scrubing through the animation the circle turns into a square, any1 got a solution

Great Tutorial but after I rendered it was almost 400 MB in size (avi). Seems huge for 10 seconds. An episode of Star Trek is 350 MB. I did add another Lens Flare but seems that shouldn’t make it so big.

i’ve attempted this project/tutorial several times absolutely step-by-step and my results are ‘nothing’ like whats demostrated here. I appreciate the tutorials and the inspiration, but i wonder why the ‘project’ files being 1/10 the size of the sample video aren’t also made availible, i suspect a bug.. but the project files would/could rule that out…
