Dell’s Got a 30 Incher, The Strobist Has The Queen, & Matt Adcock’s Wedding

If you want to take a look at a cool location lighting video, head on down to The Strobist. David put up a video he found on Annie Leibovitz shooting The Queen of England. I think that the pace of a location shoot is really neat, and it offers up a glimpse into what it’s like to be at such a big shoot.
From Endgadget: Dell has just launched a new 30” wide screen. While the size of a new monitor usually makes me swoon – it’s the fact that this one has HDMI that really has me thinking about upgrading – again. My D300 has got HDMI output, so shooting and then having the picture come up on a high def screen is something that I thought would come in really handy in a studio/classroom scenario. Wrap that into a monitor however, and now you can have both monitors in one! It’s going to take some experimentation (and a good deal of pleading to change my monitor again), but as soon as I play with it, I’ll post a workflow scenario.
Finally, Matt Adcock recently got married. If you don’t know Matt, he is an Amazing wedding photographer out of Atlanta. He and his wife Sol Tamargo make up Del Sol Photography. They are the group that out-and-out blew me away with a video on their take of a Trash The Dress session. A warm congratulations is in order to both of them. I just watched the video again, and man, it’s getting the creative wheels spinning.
Be sure to check out the new Layers TV episode today as well. Check on the player on the right to get it going!
