Magazine correction!
The posted deadline in the May/June issue for receiving all Design Contest entries should have been June 25, not July 25.

The Mission

1. Download the image of the road sign.
2. Based on the theme listed below, use elements of your own creation to incorporate the road sign into a completed image. You can use illustrations, photography, animation, or video.
3. Take your final image and use it in a design (e.g., magazine cover, comic book page, poster, Flash animation, opening credits to a movie, etc.). Again, be sure to base the design on the theme below.
4. Finally, fill out the entry form and upload your image for a chance to win.

This Month's Prize

The winner will receive a $300 shopping spree to Kelby Training! You can score all kinds of books, DVDs, seminars, and even online training for that kind of dough. But don’t forget that if you really want to claim the prize, your final piece has to make our judges jump up and say, "Wow!" The overall design and level of creativity is what they'll be looking for.

Hello Everyone!

Welcome to the second Layers Back Page Design Contest. First, I want to apologize that we go the deadline wrong in the print edition of the magazine. We really want to be able to publish the next winner in the July/August issue. In order for that to happen, everyone needs to get their entries in by June 25, not July 25.

Good luck to everyone. We can't wait to see what we get this time around.
