I cut out the image and delete the inverse, however when I copy and paste it into illustrator it shows up in a rectangle with a white background or with the inverse showing and the pictures gone. please help! I have one question. When im done with step 7 and proceed to transfer each layer to AI, the layers i transfer over cannot be live traced... Live Trace is just taking a raster image and converting it into a vector one- no pixals. Expanding simply gives you anchor points that allow you to manipulate the image using the direct selection tool. Live trace is awesome, and the effects can be really nice.
