im having trouble linking a button to another web page, i mean i went to the tutorials but it only shows you how to animate them but is there any way to set up a link ... and also can you di that after you added timeline effects ... all of this without getting too much into actionscript... thanks

if symbol is button... just select it... pull up the behaviors window... goto add behavior... select web>goto web page and then just add URL and target info. ;)

I think there is a slideshow template you can use that comes with Flash that has a nice little interface for navigating back and forth through photos and all you have to do is add your photos to a certain layer... one photo per frame. That is easiest way.

how you make navigations buttons work for your already started slideshow is a bit hard to explain considering I have no clue how your slideshow is setup. Basically, you will need to have the button goto a certain frame with the different photos rather a URL unless you are loading them externally which is a whole different ball game.
