Since the magazine has sold-out to all things Adobe, can anyone recommend an alternate source for the same type of content, only with a broader focus? Specifically Macromedia and the professional software products made by Apple (Shake, Final Cut, Soundtrack, etc.)?

/side note - The recent change in the magazine has made me very sad and I will probably not renew my subscription next year unless they broaden the scope once again. :(

What I am looking for may not exist, but I am hopefull. Thanks in advance.

I would think since Adobe bought Macromedia that there should be info on Macromedia products.

tasturgill, I hear what your saying. I stopped subscibing years ago when the tips and how to's started reflecting questions from the forums.

But I still need and intend to use Photoshop and Illustrator and so these forums will continue to serve a purpose for me. Plus I dig the design, prep and business sazvy from the people here.

But I'm with you, I'm really liking some of the apple stuff. I'm using final cut express now, mainly becuase I can't pirate after efects anymore... oops, uh, I mean, I can't afford to upgrade to after effects, and I'm liking it. It would be great to have these apps included but that's not what this mag is for. It's true that there is design-life after adobe, but just not here. For example, I love laying out web pages in QuarkXPress. If Adobe would take a que from Quark and develop Dreamweaver into a true WSIWYG web development program like quark now is, then they would truly have yet anouther killer app. I think this type of product will be at least two years down the line for Adobe.

But this site has some of the best particpants from any design formum I've seen. So I'm glad it's back.
