Having trouble when creating a PDF. first i create postscript file and run it though a distiller to make a PDF. One of the printers has a problem where all the color changed from grayscale to index CMYK (8-bit). What's going on?

What printer are you targeting when you make the PS file? could it be a colour printer? And what output are you asking for? Could it be composite colour etc.?

Is there a reason why you don't use the PDF export presets instead of the postscript/distiller route ? I've always have perfect results with the presets.
