I am working on a book document with text and graphics files with PDF. It has been created with files from Word and Canvas, and the PDF document has about 160 pages. When creating the PDF's, I selected to embed the fonts. However, the publisher has said that the fonts are not embedded in the PDF document.

Is there a way to embed the fonts from within Acrobat Professional? I Optimized the document from within PDF and selected to embed the fonts there, but the problem does not seem to be resolved.

Is there another way to embed the fonts. There are about 100 separate page files that were combined to create the PDF document, and the program and computer crashed several times while I was creating it, so resaving each page and recreating the document would be an absolute last resort.

Any thoughts would be most appreciated!

PitStop can embed fonts in the PDF (but the fonts have to be active on your machine at the time.)

Canvas. Wow. It's been a long time since I've seen one of those.

Like PaulC, says, some fonts can't be embedded due to licensing restrictions. You might check on that.

save as Postscript and Distill to PDF. This will embed the fonts
