Logo Question

A while ago, I found an article that gave examples of using letters in logos - how to connect letters and creative ideas on how to use the letters to create a new logo.

I can't seem to remember where I saw this article - I think that it was Layers magazine, but I also read alot of blogs. Does this article sound familiar to anyone?
