Hello All,
I haven't figured out yet if this is a Flash issue or perhaps an Intel Mac issue, or maybe a QuickTime issue, but it starts with Flash and runs into InDesign and Acrobat so this seemd like a good place to start.
On my MBP Intel Core Duo, Flash will not publish to QuickTime even with Enable Flash checked under QT in Preferences. Took this in to Apple and they installed all available components. I re-installed Flash. Still get the error message: "Error occurred b/c a required QT component could not be found". Tried Flash version set to 3, 4, 5, and 8. And, on teh recommendation of someone in Mac discussions, tried moving the QT preferences around a bit.
Then, when trying to open a pdf created in InDesign with placed swfs, I get the message: "This PDF file contains media that requires an additional player. Please click 'Get media player' to download the correct media player." When I select that, I'm taken to the Apple site to download the version of QT (7.1.3) I currently have on my computer (which I've tried reinstalling several times, but no change in the message). I'm using QT, but I've heard from someone with QT Pro that he's having the same problem.
A Help person at Adobe/Flash thought it was an Intel problem. Apple thought it was a Flash problem. Any ideas?
Thanks!
