I'm using In Design 2.02. This problem has existed forever and I'd sure like to know what is going on.
Situation: I create a folder with an InDesign doc. Within the folder is a link folder, which contains all the photos & graphics which I put on this particular page. I place the items from within the folder. When I try to print a proof page on my printer, sometimes such a page won't print. I have found that if I PACKAGE the document, creating a new folder on my desktop, this new doc will now print. But if I do anything at all to the document on the desktop...even modify a word of text....then it won't print again, and I have to do the package process once again, and then it will print.

SOMETIMES...not always, I will take a folder/doc created in one month (this is for a magazine page), duplicate the folder for the next month, making various changes. I realize the 2nd doc is trying to link back to the first folder. Most of the time this isn't a problem and I never need to go thru the package process, but on certain pages it's always a problem. But what drives me nuts is that for these certain pages I just have to package and re-package over and over to get the thing to print.

What on earth is going on here?
