Hey everyone-
My company has started a photo depository for all photos taken on our different jobsites. So I have all these photos now and I have been charged with indexing and organizing this new library. It's kind of a big mess right now. What I really want is something to help me automate the whole process and it would be sweet if I could add keywords to each pic and then be able to search later. Does anyone have any ideas??? Thanks!

Absolutely, Lightroom. It does all this and more. The final release is going to be rather cheap for a month or so. After that, the price is still right at $299.

NAPP did a bunch of learning center videos for it.

I don't know when Adobe will release a trial version, but the Public Beta will be expiring this month. More details here:

LR does keywords, library and folder management, watermarking, contact pages, web gallery and slide show functions like a breeze. I'm personally hooked.

LR is great, easy to use and understand. especially if you are used to adobe apps. we pre-ordered a copy when it was announced a few weeks ago, but we can't get it until the 18th or 19th of this month i believe. good luck with your cataloging, you will need it. :D

Lightroom is an Adobe catch-up rip-off of Aperture.
