Creating Vector Grunge Artwork by Matt Kloskowsky
Step 2: The outer end of Matt's spiral is nice and pointy after the 6-pt brush. Mine is fat due to the nature of the brush. As I rotate the spiral, the effect on the brush changes - at about 90 deg my outer end is pointy like Matt's. This is important to line up the top of the triangle in the next few steps.
Step 6: Since I had to rotate my spiral, now I have to rotate the triangle/tentacle to line them up. So now my objects are sideways. I group them thinking that will freeze that pesky 6-pt flat brush, and then I can turn my group vertical. But, nooo, when I turn them, my spiral tip widens out again and no longer appears to be an extension of the tip of the triangle/tentacle.
Anybody know what I need to do differently? Thanks.
