Hi all. I am new to this forum so thanks very much for reading :) .

I am having problems organising my files for print from ID. I am getting 8 gift card designs printed on a single A3 sheet, and my printer has asked me to arrange them all with all the crop and fold marks included. This seems like and easy task, yet I cannot get ID to apply these printers marks to individual items on the page, only the crop marks for the entire document show when printed or exported as a pdf. Do I need some kind of plugin to do this? Since the cards are completely separate documents the sequence is obviously irrelevant, so it's not really an imposition issue is it?? I am confused and would really appreciate some advice,

Thanks very much, viv

I have a question. Are the crop marks places so as to show someone on a cutter where to cut so to come up with all 8 individual panels. If it has done that, InDesign has dones its job right. If the cut/crop marks are laid out so when a cutter has cut out the job and all eight panels are one sheet of paper then INDesign hasn't done the job you require. But without seeing what you have it is hard to say anything more.

You'll need to manually draw the desired marks. InDesign will only put crop marks at the 4 corners of the actual document, as you discovered. Use "Registration" as the line color so the marks appear on all plates.

Thanks very much for getting back to me!

In answer to grnofslt's question, yes, at the moment ID is producing a document that has crop marks showing the cutter to cut out one large document only, when what I need are crop marks to show them where to cut out 8 separate documents. If you know how to get ID to see these separate items on the page separately, with their own crop marks that woul be fantatic.
I will try DCurry's registration mark solution too,

THANKS very much, viv :)
