Indesign CS2 - number problem

Having trouble with numbers shifting downwards.
When I make a change to the number, Example: Change $135.00 to $125.00, that new number, $125.00 shifts downward, similar to a baseline shift. There has been no returns used, I have simply pressed the new digit key. Also, this issue does not undo. I must close the page or revert to get the numbers back to there proper position.

Any ideas?

Have you tried using the two different numerical keys. Sometimes the numerical keypad found on the right hand side of the keyboard reacts differently. Programs reconize the difference between the two. Its a long shot, but worth looking into.

Try using a different font just to see if the issue continues.
