Spot Colours Not Preserved

Does anyone know why when I import an .ai with spot colours into ID5, there is no spot colour information in the ink manager - just CMYK. :confused: It only seems to happen with .ai files...

Doublecheck that it really is defined properly as a Spot color in Illustrator, and also check to make sure there isn't another swatch in ID that has the same name but is process.
