Here's a shot of Classic 67 Schwinn kid's bike. I rode it. It's as solid as an adult bike. Perfectly preserved. My friends are selling it so I took a few shots for ebay.
I took this shot with my Fuji e900.
Torch511 PM'd to tell me that a fuji e900 is not a camera blah, blah, blah. Well Kialua posts to this forum with her cell phone camera so I thought I'd share this one.

Yes, I have some of the whole bike, but they're a little less dramatic. That first one was more of a detail shot. I took several detail shots. Here is a whole shot of the bike. It's not as nice a shot as that first one I posted. It needs to have the Chromatic Aberration adjusted in Bridge. I've found that to be helpful on the images I get from this camera.

Here is another detail shot. This one holds good detail all the way down to the bike shop stickers on the frame. My friend didn't want any shots of the side of the bike that didn't have the chain guard, but I used this for close ups of the stickers and emblems. This shows the whole shot.

Here's one last view. Again, my friend didn't want any shots of this side of the bike, but I wanted a shot that shows that funky reflector mirror.

Repro, here is my latest Razr contribution. My underwater shot, because this area is usually underwater and it's the closest I am going to get to underwater. We lost about 25 feet of water and gained a big beach this summer. Always love your underwater shots.
*No filters were harmed duing the shooting or processing of this picture ;)

No need for the comment Repro Child... I mean Kid...
What I said was that if you were going to instruct me about what is Photo101... that you would lend yourself more credibility if you had something more than a point and shoot camera. Furthermore, when you pitch said camera to someone expressing interest in amature photography you are doing them a disservice, since you are limited in what you can learn.
I also complimented you on your knowledge in the area of prepress, and the value of that knowledge to the community.
I would like to throw in that I find it highly appropriate that you took the bike for a spin as it is a girl's bike. Very telling.

This is just one in a list of offensive private messages I've recieved from Torch:
I never said it wasn't a real camera. I said that if you wanted to school me in photography, you better have more experience (a whole lot more) than an off the shelf point and shoot. Among my other cameras, I have a little pentax point and shoot, albiet I got it free but I have on, they have their place and they can take decent snapshots...
But I asked to keep the personal crap off the boards but once again, you can not resist.
I'm coming to california in mid-august, I'll be in Anehiem visiting my brother... would love to see if your as smug and self-righteous in person.
Torch511. I am a former camera darkroom operator and have been put in charge of the darkroom of every job I ever had that involved graphic arts photography. I used to run cameras as large a two car garage. And I didn't learn how to run them in school.
Stop PM'ing me. If you can't say it in public Torch then just keep it to yourself.
BTW, please post some of your photos so that we may all see what we are so obviously missing.
Hmm, there's more. My critique of your comment on using less depth of field in BigPix legless shot holds true. Your suggestion was truly an observation of a mediocre artist. Further, the mark of a professional artist is the ability to be critiqued without breaking down into a hissy fit, a level you have obviously not attained.
I recognize a mediocre artist when I encounter one, Torch, and so far you fit the bill.
You may think I am talented in Pre-press. I am also exceptionally talented in Technical Illustration, mechanical engineering, engineering drawing, Descriptive geometry, Water color painting, oil painting, sculpturing, bronze casting, life drawing, creative design, Creative writing, copy writing, drum scanning, photography and know quite a bit about Art history and ancient history, art theory and color science, and advertising theory to name a few things.
You on the other hand seem to be most talented in both mediocrity and temper tantrums.
Again, stop PM'ing me.
And about the girl's bike, read the post again, slowly, and you may find that the shots were for a friend of mine who is selling her bike on ebay.
One more BTW, Anaheim is stink hole. Enjoy your stay.

That's another cool and freaky shot from your phone Kialua. Are the red and blue reflections in puddle a sunset, or another of your phones' lens aberrations?

Which brings up the very good question: How the heck did you take this photo with something that is NOT a camera?
I guess Torch is living up to the name.
My dad would never let me have one of these and I was crushed. I always had a "paperboy" bike.
No wheelies for me… :(

Sunset.
And I agree with your Ansel Adams quote, an Artist can use anything to create art becaue art comes from the soul not the machine one uses. Didn't he use dodge and burn in the darkroom to the hilt?

I am in full agreement. Is design really that much better now that it is computerized?
There has been great design done through the years in many different ways, technology doesn't drive it, people do. Although I could do with a few less drop shadows…

That's a nice thought, both of you.
The thrill is developing up our own film, the challenge is pleasing other people.

Sunset... I could see the sunset and i was really inspired. it's not just some cheesy reflection shot, it was an opportune capture of something very subtle, I can see your reference to capturing painting references...
