Is there a way to reset CS2 to work like CS? I DO want my image to auto resize after altering in PS but cannot.
Any help?
Thanks,
Eric
eckrudd,
I'm afraid you can't. By the way, this is a behaviour that started in a version of CS (I don't remember the version, or "build" as they call it) and is now part of CS2. Both ways have their utility, I just wish that we could choose between them.

Its totally frustrating, and I doubt if the Adobe/Macro merge is going to help any similar issues in the future. With no competition, there's no reason to fix the bugs.
Thanks,
Eric

Hi eckrudd,
Adobe may monopolize the graphics market, but unlike Quark, they remember how they got there. They create better software than anyone else, and to stay on top, they will continue to do so.
They're constantly fixing or improving features. If you have a suggestion for an improvement, there's actually a page on Adobe's website to tell them all about it. And guess what (unlike Quark), Adobe actually listens. I made a suggestion for InDesign and sure enough it's in CS2. To tell Adobe what's bugging you, go to http://www.adobe.com/support/feature.html
As everyone knows, Adobe changes their software with each new release. Some these changes are absolutely awful. An example that comes to mind is the way links were created in Acrobat 6. It was totally different that Acrobat 5, and at best, totally ridiculous. Guess what, in Acrobat 7, Adobe went back to the simple, intuitive way links had been done in earlier versions.
Adobe listens!

WTF does any of this have to do with Quark?

Hi Repro,
Lots!
How many times have you talked to someone at Quark who listened to or cared about what you had to say?
I've used Quark since 1987 (version 1-6) and never had a pleasant experience with anyone from that company. They don't even pretend to care about anyone who uses their products and they never will. To me, they are the perfect example of a software company that doesn't give a flying one about their users. As a Quark Certified Expert that really pisses me off. I won't even train people in QuarkXPress even though I could make good money doing it.
I think you are one of the most knowledgeable people on this forum and I learn a lot from reading your posts. But I know we disagree about Adobe and Quark. From past posts, I understand that you believe Adobe is a money-hungry behemoth, because they upgrade every two years. But having dealt closely with people at Adobe over the past few years, I know that this could not be further from the truth. They just want to improve their products on a regular basis based on what they learn from real users like you and me.
Why don't we just agree to disagree and leave it that.
