Welcome... pull up a chair. There's a little bit of reading to do, but not much. Feel free to look around but try to overcome the urge to rearrange the furniture. ;)

Hi there - i'm mops and i'm new to the forum too - i desperately needed help yesterday and was lucky enough to find your site - i posted my 'desperate question' and i had spot on advice from dcurry which i'm about to try tonight

i think this is a great site - i hope it's ok to jump on board

Hey phenn, I really like your new avatar! Not that your old one was making me seasick or anything (but it was) :)

But how do you make those animated avatars like your old one? Are they animated GIFs?

Correct - it was simply an animated GIF. I use Fireworks for simpler ones and it seems to work well.
