I have a photo that I applied a drop shadow to in Photoshop. I saved it in PS as as "Save for Web" so the background is transparent. I inserted it into Dreamweaver 8 and the drop shadow doesn't look like it did in PS. It's very dark. Does anyone know why this is happening?

hi karen!
Did you save your psd-file as gif for the web? in this case you have transparency but the colors will be reduced thats the reason why your image-drop-shadow is much darker - and not so nice? - now.
Instead of gif you can save your image as a png-24-file with transparency. PNG combines the advantages of nice smooth jpg-like images with the gif-transparency. But: there is a problem with older internet explorers, they need a special htc-file (pngbehavior.htc- which you will find on the web) to show the transparency.
Hope this is helpful for you - have a nice day! :)
