I have upgraded my InDesign to CS3 and my Extensis Suitcase is Fusion, I have the latest plug-in for CS3 and Auto activate is clicked on, but I cannot see reference to Suitcase in my InDesign prefs, so – no Auto activation of fonts. Remember what it was like before Adobe Type Manager? Anybody out there know what I have done wrong?

I've been using Font Agent at work, because that's what was there, and it works fine with CS3. I don't approve of font activation if I'm handling the fonts library, but at my present gig, the font library, amongst other things in the filing system, is so redundant I'm letting font agent do it's auto activating, and it seems to be usually working.

Hi Lou,
I've been using Suitcase Fusion with CS 3 with no problem since July.
Is it possible that you installed Suitcase before you installed CS3? Or that the plugins for InDesign and Illustrator just didn't install at all? You might be able to do a custom install of just the Suitcase Plugins (InDesign, Illustrator, Quark).
The Plugin's name for ID is "SCFusionIDCS3.InDesignPlugin" Maybe you could search for it to see if it's on your computer? There should be two copies. One in the InDesign CS3 Plugins Folder. See attachment. If you quit InDesign first, you might be able to copy from one folder to the other (not sure about this).
Hope this Helps!

I have the plug in installed (I think the one in Suitcase plug ins is just for storage) in InDesign and I did copy to Suitcase, but it does not mount in my InDesign menu.
What am I doing wrong?

Hi Lou,
Go to Application (InDesign) menu > Configure Plugins and make sure all Plugins are turned on. (If you're on a PC, I believe it's under the Edit menu.) See attached.

Ace you got it! butwhat I had wrong was that Adobe under set and not all plug-ins, I thought this was a filter for viewing not for switching, like a preset. Am I making sense?
But you did point me to the right place, thanks

Hi Lou,
That's exactly what I was getting at when I said, "all Plugins."
Glad it worked!
