There's been a lot of nice weather but I haven't been able to use my camera much. It's at a friend's house right now, so I have to retrieve it. The sun's been out but the temps have been below normal, unlike last year at this time. But that makes it very nice and would make some nice shots.
Here is a from the bow of the dive boat I frequent, shot from Nov 06. I've been aboard since but have been bad about snapping shots. This is about 6:45 am probably, looking West at the moon. The harbor mouth opens directly South so this shot looks past the boats to dry land and houses of the peninsula. This is 22nd street landing in San Pedro, one of the small landings that sit close to an opening in the multi-mouthed Los Angeles harbor.

Thanks I needed that! The ocean looks so great! The moon is so hard to catch. State(s)wide cloud cover and rain for the whole week. It's all downhill from here for us.

...it really is an aweful camera and an awefully nice view :) Look at those waves!!!
looks a lot like the "rolling" hills of Rolling Hills, CA. nearby.
Uh duh, the post said West Coast. "nevermind!"

No that's my 'good' camera a Olympus D-300 ha ha ha ha. I sure miss my Yashica G mat 124 film camera. but I don't have the time for my photography passion anymore. sigh.
repro - that harbour picture of yours is very calming and relaxing to look at

Wow, I just now picked up my camera, it was at a friend's house for a month. Sorry kialua, I don't have any nice photos of the beach or the ocean, but I do have a goofy photo of an old friend taken on the day I left this camera behind, taken at the harvest fair (first weekend of October) at the little, but now world famous, town that I grew up in. When I was kid we were considered "country bumpkins" living at the beach, now this town is home to the very rich and famous, but that doesn't stop us old timers from making sport of the o-so-full-of-themselves movie stars, moguls and sports figures whom now live there. enjoy!

Another dear friend, same fair. She's not originally from here like my friend in my first photo example, but she's been here many a year. Can you tell the difference in general composure?

Hey, this is fun, here's one of me, from at least 2 or 3 years ago, maybe more :o
Hmm... shouldn't be posting pics of my friends if I can't post one of myself. (not afraid ;) ). If my memory serves me well, (it always does, ask any of my friends) this pic was taken in the month of November, round about this time of year.

Novermbrrrhh? No fair. ha ha. All my plants have been hit by frost and are gone. I should bundle up by our beach and take a shot! ha ha ha. Now that you have your camera back we'll be expecting more shots. :D

....... nice....... I could post one of myself, shot with the new D300 @3200 iso, but I would not want to frighten anyone...... anyway I have ordered the new D300 body after a trade day which we were able to shoot with the new cameras, D3, D300, using our own CF Cards and looking at the pix's at home.......... there is only one comment, the new bodys are fantastic
