Indesign/Illustrator Color Shift

I'm running the entire CS3 suite on a windows machine and the color management for all of the applications are synchronized. My question is this: I placed an Illustrator image into Indesign and when I print the page a very noticeable color shift occurs. When I print the same image from Illustrator, the image looks fine both on the screen and on the printed output. Does anybody know what might be causing this?

To really find out why you are having this problem there is a need not only to know that the settings are the same, but also what the settings are.
Note that there is the colour settings for the program as well as document settings. Are the document settings the same as the application settings? What policy are you useing with CMYK, preserving numbers? What is your transparency flattening space, should be CMYK unless you are designing for www.
