I feel really stupid asking this, but for Dreamweaver CS3 how can I keep more than one window (html page) open at the same time? In my older version it was the default so I could go back and forth between pages without having to close one before I could open another. I can't seem to find this in the preferences.
Many thanks!

You can open multiple files at the same time. The pages are "tabbed" by default, you will only see one page at a time but there will be a tab so you can switch between files easily. On the very right you can chage from the "full" mode to cascaded mode so that you may view more than one file at a time if need be.

hi there!
yes, and you will find under window tile horizontally or tile vertically if you'd like to see 2 documents for comparison...

Thank you so much for explaining how I can see multiple html windows at the same time! One last question: If you have 3 windows open (you have just hit "cascade") and you go to open a 4th, it seems you have to once again hit "cascade" to get the 4th to show too. Why doesn't it stay on cascade and keep all windows you open showing?
Many thanks, and hi to both of you from San Francisco!

It will keep cascading until it runs out of workspace, at which point it will start the cascade all over again at the top left.
Opening another or creating a new page should not result in reverting back to tabbed mode.
