I'm trying to make an online version of a magazine I created for a company and have run into an issue. Because the magazine was designed for print, most of the pages are full spreads and dividing them ruins the design aspects. My client wants for a pdf version to open up with spreads, but when you click on one page it zooms into that page with the width of it being set at full. So the spreads are still together but it becomes a one click zoom function for each single page inside it.

Anyone have any idea how to set this up?

In Acrobat at the top of the right scroll bar (that goes up and down) there is a little black arrow pointing to the right.

Click it

Select Document Properties

Select Initial View

Insert your settings

Save

Not exactly what I was searching for. Pretty much I want to subdivide a spread in inDesign and then create buttons that when clicked will zoom to fit on one of the subdivisions. So physically the document is 1 page, 11x17 but it has built into it 8.5x11 pages that can be zoomed in and fitted so the reader has an easier time navigating the page after seeing the whole spread. I tried bookmarks but they only work on pages or type and they won't fit the width to elements inside the page, just the page.

If its for online a simple thumbnail split with two hot spots (make it large enough for them to see the design) when the user rolls over or clicks on one side of the spread than you can have it throw a pop up to the large view of the page or another section that will show the single larger page.
