I just imported a file that was originally created in Quark Express into Indesign.
I want to export all the text in the document to a external source (ie MS Word, Notepad, etc...)
How would I do that?
Each time I try to export some text it would only export the text from the page that my cursor is on.

rennywong,
Have you linked all the text boxes that you want to copy from? Once they are linked, you should be able to Select All and copy the Text. I don't know if someone knows an easier way to do it that that.
Hope that helps.

There is a script on the Adobe Studion exchange site called Export4SpellCheck.
I just tried it and it makes what you want, and it worked well. There might be other script on this site, you can browse to see.

If you open the text in the story editor (cursor in the text and then Edit:Edit in Story Editor [or Cmd/Ctrl-Y]), you can export it to RTF or other format (File:Export...). You do have to ensure that all the story's text boxes are linked after the import in order to keep all the text together.
