converting layers to table-layers disappear

Total newbie here! CS2-Dreamweaver 8. Learning Dreamweaver from instruction video. When I perform a conversion from layers to table, the table appears, but several of the layers have disappeared. "Prevent layer overlaps" is checked and layers rearranged, so they do not touch. There are five layers on the page, two small ones disappear. This does not happen in the narrator's example, so he does not address it. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Page not saved before converting.
