Hello all,
I just registered and obviously this is my first post. A little about what I am looking for I have been in and out of Photography for the better part of 15 years as a hobby. I am looking to take it more to a part-time business aspect. I bought my first Mac eight years ago and the whole Adobe collection. Now my dilemma is this. I just upgraded my Powerbook G4 to a MacBook Pro With the new OS. My understanding is that I can not run my Adobe products on it because they were for OS 9 and there is no classic support on the New OS. So what Software outside of Photoshop should I purchase? I like using dream weaver and Illustrator I even dabbled with Indesign. But I want to focus mainly on Pictures and not so much on Web design. I have a decent DSLR camera with lenses. Bottom Line: there is so much out there that I dont want to be a jack of all trades and a master at none. What is the industry using and should I spend the money for all the Adobe Software?? Also any advice on Wacom tablets? Mine was damaged in transit in the mail and I need to upgrade it anyway it was an original Intuos graphics tablet.

Thanks,
Jerry

You can upgrade your previous Adobe Products, this would seem to me to be the best possible choice. What version of Photoshop do you have?

I went to the Adobe Web Site and they give upgrade prices for Photoshop 7 and up, but do not list any upgrade prices for earlier versions. kialua upgraded her photoshop 5.5, so something must be available.
