I have inserted a Flash video on a page of my site and when I preview the page in the browser while still in Dreamweaver everything works fine. I then publish the page but when I go to my live site the flash player object does not show up. I have checked to make sure that I published the html page where it resides, the .flv file, the skin .swf file and the flashPlayer.swf file. They are all at the same level on the site. All links appear to be good.
Can anyone tell me what I am I missing? Running out of brain cells.

Sorry I am not more exp in this yet, but I did find this and it might be worth a try.
Post 6.
If you go to the adobe web site you can find the dreamweaver activex plug in. That will fix all your embedding flash problems and you'll get to see all your flashes.

You might want to check out post 5 too. It has something about making sure that your code says script type="text/javascript instead of type="text/javascript. Hopefully someone with more exp will be along soon. :) Good luck and let us know how it goes.

Here is a link for anyone trying to help me. The video was inserted at the top of the page but it doesn't appear.

For anyone following this thread, I found the answer from the Adobe Forum. Since this was the first .flv file I had put up I needed to upload the scripts folder along with all the other dependent files. If you do your uploads outside of Dreamweaver you need to do this.

Thanks for the solution Suzanne. I've not even got a chance yet to test out my flash yet. Thats handy information to have. Do you use fireworks too?
