Page Number Linking?

Hi can anyone help me out?
Currently putting together a technical manual created in an In-Design book. With numerous in design documents.
Throughout the manual there are many many pages that say refer to pages xx etc. Is there a way to automatically link to the different pages, so that if I add or remove pages this will automatically update?
I have only manged to find the Autoupdate for Previous page, current page and next page - Its' driving me mad ! :mad:
Any help would be appreciated

What an intriguing and perplexing problem this was. It took me 3 solid days of brain wracking experimentation to come up with the solution you need (although 2 of them were mostly due to having to develop work-arounds for problems in Indesign and Adobe's way of thinking). Its not an ideal solution (thanx to said problems) but it works beautifully and will save you considerable time once you've implemented what needs to be done.

Unfortunately I regret I won't provide this solution for free especially since it will be used for a commercial application.
