scalloped edges

I'm in the middle of doing logo creation and I am stuck on this. I am trying to create a oval design that has scallop edging around the outside of the logo. As an example, look at the bottom of this web page, http://www.cornelius.org/main.html.

Any help or advice would be very much appreciated. :confused:

Mike, here's an exemple of how you could do it with a circle of 1 in. of diameter :

1- Draw a 1 in. diameter circle; fill with white, stroke 1 pt.
2- Copy.
3- Paste in front.
4- Lock the front circle.
5- Select the one in the back.
6- Apply the ZigZag effect (Effect/Distort and transform/ZigZag) with these settings :
size : .01 in
absolute
ridge per segment : 30
points : corner.

Did you try the polygon tool? I set it for 120 points with an outer radius of 2" and an inner one of 1.95". The result was similar to your example. HTH for next time.
