read - only

I have had a problem with an InDesign file where I save my file and open it i find it (read - only) i cant save it who can i solve this problem.

Did you try to save it with a different name? As a copy? That used to work for me in Quark but I haven't had this happen in InD yet. Anyone else?

Maybe a problem of permissions ? If you're on Mac, Control-click on the icon of your ID file; in the contextual menu, click to see the informations of this file and change (if this is the problem) the permissions. You've got to have admin access for doing that.
