I'm stumped as to how to reproduce this (short of running the live trace option)

http://www.vannon.com/downloads/spoke.jpg

I tried to do a repeat and transform, but can't figure out numbers to do this properly.

Thanks!

With just a little experimenting...

You have 20 spokes (copies to make), therefore, 360degrees/20 = 18degree rotation. I entered an arbitrary 0.2" Vertical Move and then tweaked both Vertical and Horizontal until it looked right.

Whew, not my question but I gave it a go too. I came up with 18.455 degrees and then 19 spokes because I'm copying the first one of 20. 18 degrees worked and looked nice but didn't fit it exactly. Oh and I had to start with the spoke on the other side of the center, and the point on top with the v open on the bottom, or it was all flopped. or just flip the whole thing on horizon when you're done.
Thanks Joe

Good one guys

If you just draw a circle in the center there and then use that as the reference point for rotating, then using the copy as you rotate function, put the center point for the rotation in the center point of the circle, carefully copy the rotation so that it's correctly positioned over the first patern repeated.

The just press cmd or ctrl d.

Thanks, Eugene. I felt sure there was a way of doing it using a circle as a guide but it didn't occur to me straight away.
