Rotation Axis?

I am illustrating a valve body and I need to show how it looks with the handles in different positions. My goal is to somehow move the center pivot point to one end of the handle so when i Transform/Rotate the handle doesn't rotate from the center rather the end. Any suggestions

Select the object, click the Rotate Tool and then Alt(Option) click where you want the centre of rotation to be. You will get the Rotate dialogue box where you can insert the angle, number of copies, etc. but you can also just close it and drag the centre of rotation where you want or rotate the object whichever way you want manually.

Edit: if you need to Reflect, the Reflect tool acts in a similar way.
