Gradient Mesh Issue

I want to stroke a shape that I have applied a gradient to using the gradient mesh tool. When I attempt to do so It does nothing the stroke color box stays showing the red slash. I also tried copying the object pasting it behind removing the gradient mesh and then stroking it. This doesn't work either. By the way I am using CS2. Please help I have an awesome illustration going.

Try this...

Select the Mesh, then choose Object > Path > Offset Path. Enter a value of 0 and click okay. You'll then have the mesh and an extra path on the outside of it.


Another option (my preferred method) ....

Select the Mesh object. In the Appearance Panel flyout menu choose "Add New Stroke. Then set the stroke to the weight and color you want.


Mesh objects can not contain any stroke data so you have to work around that issue.
