need to do and emboss

can anyone help i'm trying to do and emboss in illustrator and i can seem to figure it out. i don't want to do it in photoshop because it'll rasterize it.

If you're in CS2 there is a simplistic 3D effects filter (like Dimensions dumbed down) built into the program. You can find it under the Effects menu…
