Hi
What happened to this filter? I used it in Illustrator 8 and I can't seem to find it in CS2.
Thanks
Rick.

Hi
I looked at that yet it does not have the range of patterns that could be created with the pen and ink filter. I haven't used it since Illustrator 8 and so I never noticed it missing. Pen and ink also allowed you to create libraries to save your hatch effects. There was also a crosshatch effect that I could use to fill photographic areas.
I know that this filter created a great number of paths and would balloon the file size if not used properly. I guess it’s like exercise, use it or loose it. Maybe the Adobe people have some history on the filter?
Thanks
Rick

Alas, the Pen and Ink filter was last included with V10, but no more. If you have access to the filter, you may be able to copy it to CS2...

Hi
That was a great idea however the filter won't work in CS2. I think it needs to be updated to work in the new OS and Illustrator architecture. Although, after I loaded Illustrator 10 I tried creating the object I wanted and saved it as EPS and then opened it in CS2. Worked great. There’s no round tripping or live modification, but it does work.
Thank you for your reply.
