unknown error please help!

hey guys im had alot of errors installing illustrator on my computer. But the problem now when i thought i fixed everything is when i save a file it wont let me save it i get a unknown error. i looked it up on google. It tells me to reset my transparency file. But i cant find the "aipref" file. it is no where to be found what could i do to fix this? saving as different format doesnt help also. this is for my work computer so time is money..

If the problem is not caused by your preference file then it could be caused by some required fonts missing on your computer.

You can try to reinstall illustrator again... if this does not help or if you do not have your illustrator disc with you then you can
1) go to the illustrator web site
2) download the CS2 tryout version
3) upzip CS2 the tryout version
4) look for a folder named commonfilesinstaller
5) run the installer Adobe Common Files Installer inside that folder

This should help solve your problem...:D

I have a problem similar...when i put text, I can't save due to an unknown error...but if I remove text, it works...
what can i do to fix it?
