Anyone know of a tutorial on creating a nice woodcut effect?

Or any tips on doing this?

Thanks.

Can you show an example.

Woodcut can be done rustic, smooth, thick, thin, colors, distresses etc. Show me what your thoughts are.

Here's another tutorial:

He used Photoshop but you can Live Trace the result in Illustrator if you need vectors.

The above mentioned Andromeda screens filter plugin (www.andromeda.com) works even in Illustrator (I only tried with Windows XP and Illustrator CS2). I copied the plugin into Illustrators Photoshop filter plugins folder, then I rasterized a gradient in Illustrator and applied the filter within Illustrator (set to line pattern) and got the result shown above by warking. But I prefer to do it in Photoshop and then bring it back into Illustrator.

Sorry for the delay getting back to say thanks. Had a "must do" project bump the other.
Now I can give this a shot.
