enlarging minimizing function disabled?

Hi there,
Just recently I've seem to have lost the ability to enlarge an image or shape in the same proportion (arrow while holding down alt and shift). It was working so I think I may have changed a setting or something... any ideas woudl be very helpful! cheers,

Hi Jason,

Perhaps you simply disabled the bounding box by accident. View > Show Bounding box.

Also... it matters what order you do things in. Holding down a modifier key and clicking and dragging is not the same as clicking then holding down the modifiery key and dragging in most cases.
