Hey guys, I'm new to the forum - name is Brandon:Computer Art student in NYC. I mainly use Illustrator as a supplement to my work with After Effects, seeing that they are very compatible. Does anyone else here use Illustrator for video?

Hey Brandon,
Since the majority of our forum members use the "New Posts" link, it's really not necessay to post in multiple threads.
Hopefully, there are some video users out there who'll reply...
Oh, and welcome to the forums!

I bring Illustrator artwork into After Effects regularly, especially when it comes to dealing with logos and other types of artwork that are far better retained in vector format.

There's still some things I'm trying to figure out when it comes to manipulating vector artwork once it is placed within After Effects. The interface in AE 7 is not very obvious on how one goes about doing it. It seems easier to do some of those things within Flash. However, Flash doesn't generate video imagery with anywhere near the smooth quality of After Effects.
