I've been using Illustrator for several years but never really mastered the pen. I've been using the Windows CS2 version and used a great plug-in by CValley called Xtream Path. It was great but now I'm moving to a Mac Pro and CS3. They say it's not compatible with Intel Macs so I'm out of luck. Does anyone know of a good enhanced pen plug-in? I've surfed and found about LogoSpruce but don't think that's compatible either.
Does this mean I finally have to learn the pen???

I love Xtreme Path. I'm certain they will eventually make it compatible with CS3. I've never seen anything that comes close to what Xtreme Path can do.
You can use the CS2 version on an Intel Mac if you launch AICS3 using Rosetta. You don't benefit from the Universal Binary speed bump, but it will allow your to run non-universal plugins for the time being.

Thanks, Scott. I don't have a Mac CS2 version, but can probably run my Windows CS2 through the Parallels desktop. I hope CValley makes it comatible, too. I love Xtream Path.

On the Mac, You can select the Illustrator CS3 application. Then choose File > Get Info in the Finder. Then tick the "Open Using Rosetta". That will allow the plug in to work with CS3 until they update it. But Illustrator CS3 will run slightly slower.

Thanks, Scott. Just got in after a week on the road and saw your reply. Can't wait to try this. I appreciate the help.
