Hey All -
I have been doing alot of map work for the last several years, and have done some pretty advanced editing from GIS to Illustrator for printed maps. However - I know there is much more to learn about all the specific GIS software out there, specifying export parameters to the GIS staffers, and consequently how to resolve some of the stranger things that happen upon import/open in Illustrator. Anybody willing to start a specific forum for this, or perhaps an extended thread?
I have SO many questions, so lets start with fonts and font sizes...specifically, why 6 point type from ARCView tells me it is 1 point type in illustrator. (And then greeks/grays-out) the entire page so I have to zoom up 1000 plus percent just to see the font. Nothing I have done seems to be able to cure this type size issue.
Looking forward to feedback, and kind thanks for any responses
